Fall of Icarus by Tom Harvey at Cwmaman Sculpture Trail

This sculpture was commissioned in 2007 to form part of the Cwmaman Sculpture Trail. In the words of sculptor Robert Jakes : “The Cwmaman Sculpture Symposium took place in the grounds of St Joseph’s Heritage and Environment Centre where 10 sculptors worked for 12 days – in the pouring rain – to create carved Oak sculptures for the local Community Woodland Sculpture Trail.”

The Fall of Icarus is sculpted in Indian Cedar. It measures 9′ x 3′6″
