According to Alan Vernon Jones in Chapels of the Cynon Valley (Gomer, Llandysul, 2004) : “The chapel is simple and plain in design and located in a quiet pleasant rural setting, adjacent to Brick Yard farm, Cefn Rhigos. The chapel was describebed in the ‘Aberdare Times’ 1861 as being – “A small but neat and substantial building”. There is seating for 120, no gallery; the boarded ceiling is quaint in appearance with a small star-shaped centre rose set in a circular wood frame.”
