Tradition
It was good to see tradition observed on Christmas day. Christmas wouldn't be the same without the BBC's sychophantic coverage of Mrs Windsor's 3pm message. Why don't they offer analysis in their royal coverage?
Questions like: how can 'one' be concerned about 'the vulnerable' and tell us we should be concerned with those 'less fortunate' than ourselves, when she personally presides over such vast wealth? As Polly Toynbee argues poverty is caused by inequality. The British monarchy is one of the most powerful symbols of the inequalities that exist in and between these four countries that she rules over.
If the concern is real, why not hand over her assets to the people? The money raised could help people pay off some of the massive debts that will have been built up at this time of year. Another fine tradition. Merry Christmas.
