If only Rob Brydon was prescribed on the NHS in Wales. We could get well sooner and save so much money by just learning to laugh at ourselves and avoiding all those happy pills.
Brydon rocked the house in Brecon last night. Theatr Brycheiniog is quite a small theatre at nearly five-hundred seats but it felt much more intimate than some of the larger venues on his tour. Sitting in seat AA1 might have helped me feel closer to the action too.

When they hold a bazaar in Tredegar they don’t mess around.
Just over one hundred and fifty years ago they held a great big Tredegar bazaar.
Heaps of money was raised.
And then over a few beers in ye olde Tredegar tavern they discussed what to do with the money raised ….
Tredegar Man – “Hey, let’s erect a 72 feet high cast iron tower, put a large bell at the end and paint it bright red so people from all around can see it from a great distance. It will put Tredegar on the map.”
Another Tredegar Man – “Yes, it will put us on the map as comedians because it will look like a 72 foot tall cast iron cock.”
Yet Another Tredegar Man : “Oh sod it then, if we can’t have a COCK tower how about putting a CLOCK face on the top…”
Another Tredegar Man : “… And painting it bright orange…”
Tredegar Man : “…Done. We’ll get that big boy up soon enough.”
